Laghman is the next province east from Kabul. To get there, you travel down a winding mountain road that descends nearly a thousand meters through the Sooroobi Pass. This is the view from the top of a hill in Mehtar Lam, the capital of Laghman province, which is about two hours drive from Kabul.
